Droitwich Tournaments

Droitwich Archery Society take great pride in the tournaments they hold. In a normal year they run six: four “Open” and two “Closed”. In chronological order, these are:

  • Club Indoor Championship (Closed) Run towards the end of the indoor season. The round shot varies from year to year. It is intended to be a relaxed and enjoyable shoot to encourage all club members to participate.
  • Spring Tournament (UK Record Status Warwicks). An unusual event, designed to be a low-key start to the season. Attracts a wide audience of varied ability: some lured by the prospect of a UK record, others by the fun atmosphere.
  • Summer Tournament (UK Record Status Albion). A well established round, and part of the West Midlands League. Archers are attracted by the excellence of the venue and the quality of the shoot.
  • Club Indoor Championship (Closed Chicago) Run towards the end of the outdoor season. The round is intended to be a relaxed and enjoyable shoot to encourage all club members to participate.
  • Autumn Tournament (UK Record Status Double Worcester). Our longest established round, and part of the West Midlands League. Archers are attracted by the excellence of the venue and the quality of the shoot.
  • Winter Tournament (World Record Status Combined FITA). An unusual round which, with it’s World Record status, attracts a high caliber field from far and wide.
